The
Autonomous Underwater Vehicle competition
is an annual international competition held buy AUVSI
in which different teams from different Universities and schools
will compete against each other. Following are some FAQ's from the

Q.
What will I see at the Competition site?
A. You will see the best and brightest students at work on unmanned,
underwater robots. These robots, called Autonomous Underwater Vehicles
(AUV), are a very critical part of the U.S. Navy's research and
development, as well as being of great interest to many industries
involved in maritime exploration and other pursuits. You will be
able to see the AUV's in various states of assembly and repair and
you'll be able to see them swim as they attempt the Competition
Mission. Additionally, SPAWAR Systems Center San Diego will be displaying
some of its robotic vehicles.
Q:
Where is the event located?
A. The Competition will be held at the U.S. Navy's Space and Naval
Warfare (SPAWAR) Systems Center's Transducer Evaluation Center (TRANSDEC)
pool located on Point Loma, San Diego. More acronyms will be available
